One of my favourite spots to catch a sunset in Welly

Wellington's living room stretches from Frank Kitts Park all the way to Oriental Bay — flat, wide, and made for wandering. Past the Wahine mast memorial, Te Papa, Waitangi Park, and enough public art to fill a gallery. Runners, cyclists, dog walkers, and coffee-clutching strollers all share the path. Stick around for golden hour when the harbour goes glass and the hills light up. No city in New Zealand does waterfront like this.
